One Step Neuro Physiotherapy visit you in your own home or place of residence and offer you comprehensive and expert care following your neurological diagnosis. We are pleased to offer our specialist neuro physiotherapy service across South Wilshire in towns such as Salisbury, Amesbury, Devizes, Warminster and Pewsey. We also cover towns in the West of Hampshire such as Andover, Romsey, Downton, Whiteparish, Fordingbridge.

About Us
Kate Floyd and Michelle Cox are highly experienced Neurological Physiotherapists and are delighted to be working in collaboration to bring you our joint expertise. We are both HCPC registered (Health and Care Professions Council), members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and belong to the special interest group ACPIN (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested In Neurology).
Kate has over 30 years experience as a specialist in the field of neuro physiotherapy and established One Step Neuro Physiotherapy in 2018 in order to offer a much needed service in the area. After graduating from The Queen’s College, Glasgow in 1992 with a BSc in Physiotherapy, her career began in London in the NHS teaching Hospital, St Thomas’s. Following completion of rotations as a junior physiotherapist, her passion for Neuro- Physiotherapy was sparked and she specialised in this field for the majority of her career. Kate has worked in many respected private hospitals and facilities, including the Devonshire Hospital in London. Most recently, Kate worked for 6 years as the Lead Physiotherapist for Glenside Hospital, Salisbury, continuing her specialist work in the field of Neuro Rehabilitation. Kate is highly skilled and experienced working with complex disability, especially passionate in rehabilitating clients suffering from stroke and brain injuries, including the management of long term and neuro-behavioural conditions. Kate particularly promotes self- management and empowers her clients to achieve their goals.
Kate formerly volunteered as a Trustee for Headway Salisbury, contributing to the development and delivery of the charity's valuable work in supporting brain injury survivors. She continues to have a passion for life-long learning and has completed numerous post graduate education courses within the field.
Michelle graduated from the University of Southampton in 2016 as a Physiotherapist and also has a BSc degree in Sports Conditioning Rehabilitation and Massage. Before specialising in Neuro- rehabilitation, Michelle spent time gaining experience in a number of fields of physiotherapy within the NHS including Neuro Rehab, Amputee rehab, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Orthopaedics and Paediatrics. Michelle has worked within both acute and community settings, however her love for neuro rehabilitation first started when working at Glenside Hospital, Salisbury which specialised in adult Traumatic and Acquired brain injuries. Michelle is highly skilled in the treatment of both adults and children with Neurological conditions and has spent a number of years working with children with neuro-developmental conditions including cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, developmental delay and muscular dystrophy. Michelle has a vast experience working with altered muscle tone including spasticity, dystonia, hypertonia and hypotonia and enjoys using her aquatic physiotherapy skills as part of her rehabilitation programmes. She completed the Bobath Foundation course in 2022 where she further developed her therapeutic handling skills and also belongs to the organisation APCP (Association of Paediatric Physiotherapists).
Michelle is passionate about helping people achieve their individual goals using a holistic approach to therapy. She enjoys building a rapport with patients to help understand what is important to each individual and tailoring their therapy to achieve this.
